Do you still use emails for personal purpose? I have forgotten the last time I ever used one because of messenger apps. It is so easier to talk and share files through them.

I use them all the time. I have several for different things. One for family, one for friends, etc.

If we change the user interface of email browser, it will become a messenger app

If we change the user interface of email browser, it will become a messenger app I'll just stick with email. Don't want to go around changing any interface LOL

I was referring to it technologically. While there is a huge difference in the tech involved in email and messenger apps, there is a common factor too. We can make messenger have an email like UI and we will never know that is a messenger app.

There are a lot of things good about email. The ability to search when we need to check through them.

I like email too but most people don't use it as much as they used to before Facebook came on the scene. Now it's mostly for website refistrations and verifications. I always considered email the first social network.

I only use it to send or receive files as well as for support on my forums.

I have several email accounts. I pay for my email accounts through domain-branded GMail accounts. I send email every day. I usually reserve messenger for family aside from my brand pages.

Not that often only for business reasons or to sign up to a site.

In terms of personally communicating with others, not often. I just use emails to register for different sites and companies and receive their promo stuff.

My email is basically for official duties. I don't have need to use it for other activities such as sending messages to friends since I interact with them on a daily basis.

I prefer email too. Most of the time email gets the work done. If not email I think having whatsapp and the telegram also helps. However I suppose email is lot better in the long run.

I don't use email, except to read extremely important messages that I can't get thru social media. Anyway, my email is filled mostly with junk that I would never open. Of course, though, I'm sure, somehow, I signed up for most of it.

I use Emails for professional service. I do use messaging apps for quick communication (including professional communication) but for detailed communication like sending attachments, secured data, etc. I do not trust messaging apps.

I have never really used emails for personal reasons in terms of talking to friends or family. It’s always for notifications or dealing with businesses and things. If I want to talk to a friend I’d text them on my phone.

I like email too but most people don't use it as much as they used to before Facebook came on the scene. Now it's mostly for website refistrations and verifications. I always considered email the first social network. The presence of chatting apps such as WhatsApp has made communication easier for me than making use of emails to communicate personally. I use emails for official purposes though.

My grandma still uses email to communicate with others. I only would reply to her emails, I didn't have internet until late 2008 and by that time everyone was using instant messaging, forums, and Myspace to communicate. xD

You are missing here some important thing since sharing a message is easier on messenger, but sharing file is hard. A file can be shared on email only as it can remain forever until we deleted. I am still using emails even though my friends have messenger too.

Hmm, most messenger apps allow backup. I know companies which use commercial versions of these apps to do business as usual.
But yes, I understand. It is more trackable when we use emails.

Not sure how anyone can get by without emails today unless you mean just for chatting with someone. I still use emails to chat with someone as it leaves an easier paper trail to back up anything should I need to pull up something from the past or shared files.
